The festival kicks in with the first live concert performance by Fransk Frokost, a folk jazz band, which combines the various backgrounds of its participants. The band consists of members from the ethnic sami culture, xhosa culture as well as French and Norwegian culture. They each contribute uniquely to the sound of the band.

Zwai Mbula International Band takes the stage after Fransk Frokost, and will provide a high energy performance that will leave you incapable of standing still. Zwai Mbula has performed with Gladys Knight and Lionel Richie, and will bring a crew of international artists to perform on stage. The music is a fusion of afro pop, afro jazz and world music, where South African percussion traditions are central.
